Jesus Wins the Coin Toss

When you invite Jesus over for dinner it’s a coin toss as to how he’s going to act. Heads, you win, and you get a charming dinner guest. Tails, Jesus wins, and he makes an example out of everything that happens, including you. And really, Jesus wins the coin toss whenever he wants to. This sermon was preached by the Rev. Sare Liz Anuszkiewicz at Trinity Episcopal Church in Warsaw, NY, on September 1, 2019, or Proper 17, Year C.

The readings were: Sirach 10:12-18, Psalm 112, Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16, and Luke 14:1, 7-14.

Every Day Is A New Set Of Choices

Nonduality Is In Our Choices

Even when we make mistakes, there’s still the next opportunity to make a different choice. In this sermon we hear about Jesus using some Greek rhetoric to try and explain the eternal truth of nonduality, and we see Paul and Silas making mistakes and not acting out of a realization of nonduality… but then Paul and Silas do start acting like God was with them and in them. Listen now!

Nonduality Is Who We Are

The Bottom of the Barrel: Where We Meet God

Jesus enters the Twilight Zone, meets the Local Crazy Guy and a miracle occurs. And then Jesus gets run out of town. But that’s not even the most interesting part of the story. Then Jesus asks Former Crazy Guy to do the impossible. And he does. Listen to hear more!

The Last Will & Testament of Jesus Christ
